Everything we sell is hand made to order, apart from our Bakhoor itself, which requires time to age. That way, we can make absolutely sure that everything we sell is up to standard, certain to delight, relax and leave your home fragrant!
As we’ve mentioned, everything we sell is made by hand, to order, so you can be sure that the quality is the very highest and that you’ll be completely satisfied with what you’ve bought. If there are ever any problems, just get in touch and we’ll do our best to help you.
We want our products to be suitable for everyone, so we’ve made them completely free from animal products, as well as excluding all forms of alcohol, as well as nuts, from everything we produce, wherever possible.
Here at Bakhoor Luxe, we always do our best to source natural, vegetarian, cruelty-free ingredients, to the best of our knowledge. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all of our products are completely free from nuts or completely vegetarian.
Bakhoor has been used as a part of Arabian culture for centuries, to greet guests in the home and to mark special occasions. It’s as integral to the greeting of guests in Yemen as offering tea and biscuits is in the UK!
The tradition of the burning of these sugared bricks to release their aromas can be dated all the way back to ancient Egyptian culture, where wealthy families would freshen their homes and cover unwanted odours with the burning of incense. The practice has been carried through to the modern day, with the use of reed diffusers still widespread across multiple countries and cultures!
Everyone has their own style, kind and fragrance that makes them think of home, relaxes them and promotes wellness and creativity.
